PVC, the plastic most people are scared to death to run!

Perhaps the most versatile of all resins, PVC is one of the major plastics in use today, yet it continues to be an enigma to anyone not fully familiar with the parameters of proper handling and processing. Fears of degradation and HCl evolution, the whinings of Greenpeace and other environmentalists with their anti-chlorine agenda, and the phthalate plasticizer issue all combine to fuel the unease of those considering use of PVC in their products. Perhaps the following little "course" on PVC will help ease some of these concerns.
